Getting started: Service packages
Bundle salon services into packages while keeping prices, validity and redemption rules clear for customers and staff.
Overview
Packages let a salon sell a package price with a monetary service-value balance. That balance is then applied to eligible service lines during billing.
Who can use it
Owners and managers can create and manage packages. POS-enabled staff may redeem an available package during billing according to their access and plan.
Before you begin
Decide the package name, amount paid, package price, monetary service value, validity and start date. Explain the value and terms clearly to the customer.
Steps
- Open Packages from the dashboard.
- Choose create package and enter the client and package details.
- Enter package price, amount paid, service value, validity and start date as requested.
- Review the monetary values and dates, then save the package sale.
- At checkout, select the customer's eligible package and apply its remaining balance to service lines before completing the invoice.
Best practices
Use simple names, explain the rupee value and expiry clearly, and train staff to check the remaining balance. Reconcile package sales and redemptions regularly.
Important rules and limitations
Current package creation uses a monetary service-value balance; it does not select service quantities. Package credit applies to services, not arbitrary products. Redemption is recorded when the invoice is created, and corrections must use the supported transaction flow.
Troubleshooting
If creation fails, check package price, amount paid, service value, validity and start date. If redemption is unavailable, check validity and remaining monetary balance, and ensure the bill contains service lines.
